Work, Harmony, You
WHY, an acronym for Work, Harmony, You, seeks to restore harmony to the relationship between work and the people who do it. The goal is to find solutions for systemic, root causes contributing to healthcare worker burnout, disengagement, and turnover.
WHY Initiatives
-
Workforce Experience Survey
Building on our previous two years of research, the WES is thoughtfully designed to help hospitals:
• Measure levels of burnout and professional fulfillment among their workforce,
• Identify pain points and sources of chronic workplace stress and frustration, and
• Identify and prioritize actions that can be taken to improve hospital culture, processes, systems, and overall work experience.
-
Mental Health First Aid Certification Training
As part of its comprehensive effort to improve the healthcare work experience, WHY is offering a series of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) at Work certification trainings to SCHA member hospitals.
Just as CPR provides skills needed to assist someone having a heart attack, MHFA equips hospital staff members to support those experiencing a mental health or substance use-related challenge or crisis.
