Workforce Experience Survey Available Now!

Our Workforce Experience Survey (WES) is now available to all SCHA member hospitals! Building on our previous two years of research, the WES is thoughtfully designed to help hospitals:

·      Measure levels of burnout and professional fulfillment among their workforce,

·      Identify pain points and sources of chronic workplace stress and frustration, and

·      Identify and prioritize actions that can be taken to improve hospital culture, processes, systems, and overall work experience.

This is NOT a standard engagement or satisfaction survey. It builds on common surveys, like Press Ganey, by diving deeper into known key drivers of healthcare worker stress and burnout and, more importantly, empowering employees to identify potential solutions. We encourage you to distribute this survey to your workforce. The SCHA Workforce Experience team will provide a facility-specific aggregate report to hospitals that participate, which will include priority pain points and population-specific needs at the facility level, as well as recommendations that drive action toward improvement.

We know you are protective of your workforce; we are too. We hope you recognize the valuable and crucial information being collected by the WES and agree to distribute it to your employees. Together, we will pursue an action guide that improves the healthcare workforce experience and thus SC’s recruitment and retention capabilities. In addition, this provides powerful primary research data that, once again, puts SC hospitals ahead of the rest. The Workforce Experience team is happy to work with you to plan a distribution plan that fits best in your organization.

Here is a link to access the survey. We can also provide a sample employee invitation that you can customize and distribute to your workforce. Help us amplify the voice of your workforce and inspire meaningful and lasting change! If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Emily O’Sullivan (EOSullivan@scha.org).
